4 years ago, I went to cut a path through the weeds to store a compost tub behind my brother's garage. Then I just carried on cutting stuff down, digging over the spare land, landscaping it with rocks from the back field, and making a woodland garden on the side of the alley.
I dumped all the turf and weeds, roots and all in a huge hole behind the garage.
Now, needing soil/compost for the allotment, I've so far had 6 barrow loads of rich, dark earth out of that hole, with more to go!
