My current color film development costs:
- 1L Bellini C-41 kit ($43.99, does 16 rolls so $2.74 per roll)
- 2 hours rental of Fuji Frontier @ $20/h, in which I can scan 16 rolls of film, so $2.50 per roll
All in, 5 bucks and a bit per roll of color film.
It’s $20 at a lab to dev and scan where I live. Dev and scan for 16 rolls is $320, doesn’t do the color correction I like, AND I have to wait 3 days!
My scanning cost will come down soon (with a CoolScan I am inheriting)
