I'm not interested in deskilling myself nor in wasting even *more* time tediously evaluating code generation that's functionally adversarial in how alien it is to my thought patterns.
Microkernels are just the way you do it with languages that don't properly support isolation. So all the legacy languages like C & so can be carried forward.
I'd much prefer "managed language" systems (or Language-Based Security, as the actual term goes) based on something like Lisp but it is unpopular (despite being capable of pushing better performance than microkernels by eschewing some unnecessary indirection in many cases).
In either case, it would be a massive improvement on the current monolithic ambient-authority systems.
