Tip for Amex Sky miles cc users :
check your flight the day you depart, if demand hasn't been met and the flight isn't packed, you can typically "change your flight" to the same flight you have selected and get miles credited back into your account!
Got back 7k miles this week doing that.
Always worth a check.
