A man dies in Canberra Hospital late on Friday night. It's now Sunday night and still no-one has been notified. No-one. Husband goes in to visit the man and is made to wait half an hour while a lot of whispering and faffing ensues; finally husband (who was the power of attorney) is told the news. Husband calls the Next Of Kin (the man's neighbour), and sure enough it is news to her also. This is just wrong. I can feel a pointy gnome coming on... 😡
