Many people despise religion because they say it is a tool of control and subjugation; while this was certainly true, especially in ancient times, the reality is that everything evolves, and the first thing communist states do is ban religion, because the state does not want individuals to have a sense of community or identity; the state wants to isolate the individual, to make them feel alone, and to ensure that the state is their homeland and their religion.
Be wary of extremely individualistic doctrines; also consider who is behind these doctrines.
As I always say, things are rarely black and white.
The reality is that people who believe in nothing rarely fight for anything, and that is the state’s ultimate goal.
And this is coming from someone who is a lone wolf, but I observe people, read history, and even study societies with which I disagree.
I’d rather have Taliban on my team than men who believe in nothing.
