From what I understand both can be used in dogs for heart issues so it probably isn't toxic to him but obviously taking heart meds when you don't need them can be iffy. I sure the vet bill won't be much 😒
This is one of the reasons I foster. Free vet visits. It's getting to expensive to have a dog. Inbreeding has lead to a lot of health issues.
