All the hydrogen economy stuff will be useful again when we’re colonising the Moon. Terrestrially, not so much; but it does sound better than ‘ammonia economy’ which might be a bit more practical.
Fusion will get there eventually, but not in any timescale that will help with the transition. It would be ironic if in fifty years time it is finally available, but puts off everyone who’s grown up with familiar comforting renewables.
