It’s been tried multiple times before bitcoin. I’d say 15-20 “coins” where attempted. Maybe more. There is a whole history of attempts and failures before satoshi launched. It wasn’t written about much. But that history exists. Completely different then the use case open transparent settlement layer which is Bitcoin.
