they're just trying to appeal to Blacks and Hispanics in terms of border control. there is a perception that illegals take some low paying jobs away because some employers may use illegals so they can pay under minimum wage... true or false, in the end it's just more politicking. vote for me a protect your jobs.
i think it has a racist edge because it may imply that Blacks and Hispanics only have low pay jobs, which is not really the whole truth. that's definitely a DEI edge.
