according to people on Reddit they’ve also been really slow about getting packages to people. The most recent order I placed was supposed to arrive Friday which is fine, but then this morning I got an email that it’s not coming until next Tuesday.
I don’t know how their accounting system works but it seems to me that they get to use of a whole bunch of free money (interest free) when they take it from us and then don’t send the product for a week.
Much like schools get all the student loans and then they don’t disperse the overage to the student until after the add/drop period passes. Students start paying interest on that money from the day it is disbursed to the school. Some schools hold it two weeks some two months. Nobody complains about it because it’s a small amount of interest, but multiply that by all the students they get student loans for. And compare that to the interest they would pay on a loan for that same amount of $ and time, it’s probably significant for them.
But that’s a whole other subject.
