The point is, different attitude might result in different behavior: you either want one marshmallow immediately or you are able to save it for later. Both persons might want a marshmallow badly, but only the person with the lower time preference is able to hodl and stack more as a reward.
This is why being humble is key to be able to keep stacking sats, especially when temptation is high to realize profits.
