Its not unique to amethyst, but the key management really needs to be cleaned up. Imagine having to punch in your bitcoin private key every time you have to log into your hardware wallet, there are numerous security flaws in that. Amethyst should create a secret that my secure element can sign and send back, or let me use a yubi key or something.
