"Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law." - Proverbs 29:18
What consequences may come when one acts without regard for possible adversity, nor heeding the wisdom of experience? In what ways do habits and activities condition us for either immediate gratification or prudent foresight?
Merciful God, grant us the wisdom to see beyond our present realities – adopting restraint and ensuring our steps are ordered in Your Word. Let us not consider ourselves so well off that we fall in folly and pride. In Jesus' name, Amen.
