# Create Bootable USB Drive With Multiple Distros

[Ventoy](https://www.ventoy.net/) is a newer program for creating a bootable USB stick that can be used to test out multiple Linux distributions using one USB stick. Then if you want to install one of those ditros onto a computer, you can do that as well.

Ventoy isn't in distro repositories yet, so you must get it from GitHub and unzip and run it directly from the folder:

(Get the release with the green "Latest" button next to it.)

TechHut on Odysee [steps you through the process in this video](https://odysee.com/@TechHut:1/make-a-multiboot-usb-for-linux,-windows,:6)

Note:
TechHut does take the slightly more painful way of opening up the command line in Linux, but you don't need to do that. You can simply double-click the VentoyGUI.x86_64 file (for 64-bit Intel/AMD computers), and use that to create a Ventoy USB stick.

Note 2: Ventoy mounts the .iso install file as a DVD/CD drive, and this has been known to cause issues with installers on some BIOS setups, which throws an error. If this happens, you will need to use Rufus, Baleana Etcher or the USB creator that comes with you Linux distro. Common Linux USB creators are **usb-creator-gtk**, **usb-creator-kde**, and **mx-live-usb-maker**.
