Yeah. Get an iPad for sailing. I don’t even use my chart plotter. Get an iPad with 5G because it also has a GPS. Download the Navionics charts and put it on airplane mode. The GPS still works on airplane mode and it’ll make the battery last 3x as long.
Sometimes, it’s nice to know that someone knows where you are. Say what you will about the USG. If I get captured by modern pirates, I WANT Seal Team Six to come get me!
