yesterday someone asked me how I write clear explanations and it's always such a hard question for me to answer. I feel like the easiest way for me is:
1. say some words out loud to a person who doesn't understand the thing yet, just whatever comes to mind, don't talk for more than 1-2 minutes
2. check in to see what they think
3. usually whatever I said wasn't helpful, so pause and think about why not, then repeat until I have said something that makes sense
