Just when I thougth #nixos was the cure for my #guix woes, the NixOS Foundation sells itself to Anduril Industries' military-complex rising star. I guess there's no bothering in anything non #GNU if you truly hold your principles high. Oh well, back to #Guile it is!

Love ended with #guix both the software distribution (distro) and the package manager.

I really tried to love you #guix, I did. I even began learning some #guile #scheme (which I plan to continue regardless BTW)

But for the love of me the distro just did not support wireless networking on my testing laptop, even using the `non-guix` repo. and a wireless enabled unofficial ISO, thanks

The package manager was a nightmare to setup on #archlinux and on #debian forever failed to build a basic package like `chezmoi`

Maybe I'm too stupid and old and #guix is just too hardcore for me now.

So onto #nixos it is, which I had some very fond memories of the time it's package manager allowed to setup a development environment on an obsolete Macbook Air. It was the pandemic and #nixos made that Macbook usable despite #osx
