TL;DR:
They injected mice 4x/day with glucose, causing hyperglycemia, and measured accelerated increases of atherosclerosis compared to a control group. Plasma cholesterol levels DID NOT CHANGE.
Further proof that glycation is the true culprit of heart disease.
