Using an OTP code as the only factor for logging into whatever system is bad security. Passwords can be bad, but at least we don't usually read them from a smartphone or desktop app which shows them in a big font for everyone around us to read.
Be sensible. OTP codes are good but you have to use them as a second factor for authentication.
