Could be, but you know, I've noticed a lot of the fast food places are delivering worse food. Not because the ingredient changed. But, because after the last big wave of inflation, white people who are not being supported by the government cannot live on 9$ to 13$ an hour. So now the food is being made by black people who can survive with government help on such a small income. And, surprise, they are worse at it.
I think that sort of thing is happening across the board. And, I think for artists, it went from, "let me do this thing I like" to "I have to focus to keep the lights on for survival"
It is easy to give out of abundance, but hard to give out of poverty.
Personally, I can't bring myself to work on ephemeral projects like games or art at the moment. My life is shifting to, making real electronics, and engines, and machines. I suspect that the next two years will hold hardship for my friends here, and I'd like to have something to give them when the time comes.
Instead of just reading about the isekai MC who saves his friends. It is time for me to become the MC of my own life. You know?
