I think Vaxx is pointing out that the android robot will never be competitive until its leasing price is below the minimum wage.

Simple example of a highly affordable android that can work a fast food job
>$100k robot
>$10k/yr maintenance cost
>5 years before obsolescence
That means it will need to earn 40k a year just to pay for the sunk cost. If Im buying 100 such robots, plus insurance for them, plus uninsurable losses, Im going to want a hefty profit margin.

And, can that compete with EVERYTHING a human can do? Probably not. It definitely wont be faster or better than a human, Ive seen bigdog and spot, theyre a fucking joke, it takes them a minute to open a door (probably scripted).

We are 20-40 years from the first one entering the marketplace.
