They're not the only ones.

There's an AA app, which lets you call for roadside assistance when you break down, right?

So you install the app, test it, and forget about it, right?

And three (eg) years later you break down. So you open up the app. And ...

... it asks for a password? That it has deliberately chosen to forget, since it worked last time you tried? And you're supposed to have a note of a three year old password with you at the roadside in the dark and in the rain?

Which makes the app totally and utterly and completely useless. They might as well have not bothered writing it.
