I'm with Mew on this one. Phantasy Star had the Sci-fi thing going for it, then Final Fantasy happened. I haven't played to completion anything beyond the first Phantasy Star and have always given up on II. The games would have made for a better series as visual novels than anything else (and, yes, I'm aware of the PS VNs).
