All that being said, I will inevitably buy a Fuji X100 VI. Or, a Fuji XPro 4 if one ever actually gets released.

As a previous #Fuji #Fujifilm #X100 owner, I think the latest #X100VI is a huge disappointment and really ought be dead on arrival.

Fuji, in general, bet on the wrong horse with APS-C and even with #XTrans. Neither of these two decisions/technologies have panned out in their benefit. But, like Boeing with the 737, it's the bed they've made and it's the one they're committed to sleeping in.

Cameras like the X100 are different insofar as they aren't apart of the regular X-system and target a different market. The X100 has the capability of being different from the rest and, in many respects, doing its own thing. Fujifilm, however, have decided this latest refresh of the X100 to be lackluster and marginally iterative. Unfortunately, while marginally iterative, Fuji has removed some functionality while crippling themselves into corners with failures to iterate on more minor parts of the camera that would bring noticeable improvements.

I just don't see a future with Fuji, at least not in their X-system. The #GFX system? Perhaps. But, that market is far smaller and more niche. #photography
