take i feel weirdly alone in making: locally produced and consumed media is best.
"local" is abstract; your clique, your friends, your masto server, ....
there's something critical in locally produced media that is unique to it alone: real love.
non-locally produced media is made with ulterior motives: money, popularity, fame, ...
i am not stating these reasons are bad, or that it is wrong to produce art for these reasons. but the _lack_ of this extrinsic motivation forces locally produces art to be _intrinsically motivated!_
and i conject there is something special and unique about art created intrinsically. art for arts sake. love.
