i wonder how you feel about those programs all about "teaching" immigrants the "values" (that is, the perceived image of those values the receiver society has about them) of where they are accepted into
cause as a dirty commie and progressive and what have you, i think those programs miss the point not in that culture cannot be taught or adopted at the edges where two peoples meet - but in that they are missing the point that this process cannot be made artificial, that the structure of a classroom is antithetical to change and learning of a social kind
