Replaced my mother's hot water tank today (happy new year, right?).
Basic electric tank, 40 gal, ran nearly $450 at home Depot. Plus another $100 for some install needs like line extensions, drip pan, new blow off fittings n pipe. So nearly $600 with tax and all. Free labor.
Avg WV plumber rate (non union), with 5 hours on the clock would add another $110
