I did last night, and I was told I didn’t understand! (Not by you) In my experience, you have to be both encouraging and sympathetic to someone who is struggling. Just beating you over the head about how you need to do better will make you feel like a failure. And only coddling you will make you comfortable with not trying. It’s a balance.
