Heard an interesting argument for RAISING the voting age. Back in the days, you would already have a job by the time you hit 18. People would have more life experience and have more understanding of the real world. Now young adults reach the work force (on average) much later. A lot maybe won't get a stable job until last year of University. So instead of learning anything from the real world to base their voting decision on, they're basically told by Uni who to vote for, cause that's where they spend most of their time.
