Chicken bits only do one thing. Look through the list of documented ones for examples. Given I exhaustively searched all of them and only found two that work, and one is documented to be something else (that probably affects the DMP more by chance, and it's in a lower valued register that contains older/more general flags), it's entirely reasonable to assume the bit I found only turns off the DMP. There is no evidence to suggest otherwise.
