Liquid is a great side chain but gives me some hesitations.
It has a level of decentralization but hard to say it’s fully decentralized.
It’s not the real asset. Bitcoin is not actually held on the liquid network. Any pegged bitcoin is in a multisig wallet. This has never been an issue but it might be in the future.
Liquid network has better privacy than on chain bitcoin. Depends on the situation but possibly better privacy than lightning. Monero is still better privacy than all three.
I love liquid and wished it had better adoption but it looks like lightning is going to edge it out as the preferred L2.
