Much controversy could have been avoided if the term hypostatic( ὑπόστασις) was not borrowed from Greak philosophy. A better choice would have been to use the Word ὁμολογουμένως - "of the same being of the Word", God was manifested in the flesh.
homologoumenōs also happens to mean "without controversy."
