Once I learned that medical providers are instructed to distract patients with conversation in certain situations, it's impossible not to notice. And knowing I'm being intentionally distracted while they monkey with my body is a bit alarming.
I'm trying to figure out how to let them know the very best way to distract me is to talk in detail about what they're actually doing and why.
