Hey and , just listened to your podcast conversation from Dec 23, 2023 The Free Speech Solution. Thought everything you were talking about was really cool.

I created my nostr keys just a month ago. I am a bitcoiner and an aspiring rust/bitcoin dev. One of the aspects of bitcoin I really love is the hope for the future it gives me and the motivation to gtd. It inspires me to be a better person. e.g., focusing on Quality (as described by Robert Pirsig).

I'm seeing parallels with nostr. The more I learn about it the more convinced I become of its importance to circumvent a dystopia. I never really cared that much about social media –I never created a twitter account. Thought it was mostly a waste of time. But I feel differently about nostr. I feel like I'm participating in something that is actually going to benefit humanity.

There is a line from A Cypherpunk's Manifesto which to me has never rang more clearly:

"We must defend our own privacy if we expect to have any. We must come together and create systems which allow anonymous transactions to take place." Bitcoin and nostr are the protocols/systems that will take us to the promised land. But we need to be preparing, always preparing and building and educating ourselves. It's not going to be easy, but who the hell wants easy?

These are exciting times and I know the cypherpunks will prevail. Anyways, just wanted to give a shoutout because you guys suggested to in your podcast convo. ₿₿₿
