Yes it was back then, now the US is no longer a beacon of democracy, it’s foreign policy has become a disaster and “going to war” the only solution, not to speak about domestic poverty, while tons of $ are spend in the war machine. Diplomacy, respect, freedom, open debates….no longer exist
