The Dark Knight Rises, easy. Batman is physically ruined and morally hollow, yet not only does he somehow save the day, he survives a nuke(?!) so that he can live a happily-ever-after with Catwoman in Italy.
If Nolan had had any courage, he would've killed off the first Batman and had Robin take his place.
