The ditchonomy between custodial and non custodial wallets in Bitcoin is unproductive. As long as both options exists, that is already a win in my book. The ease of bank runs for custodial wallets forces the custodian to up their game in terms of services rendered.
For example, are there any Fiat banks that provide API access to individual accounts? This is possible with a number of custodial Bitcoin wallets which enables interesting use cases and transfer of funds to non custodial solutions.
Programmable money is such a Godsend. It is unfortunate most people are too oblivious to what this offers.
