💯 Detaching is not escapism it is being aware of reality and equanimous with what is (letting go of the attachment of craving/ aversion from the ego . Accepting reality as it is not as you would like it to be.
By all means we can prefer a certain outcome and strive steadily toward it but not allow the actual outcome to disturb your peace of mind with negativity if it is not what you had hoped for.
