Curry has an interesting take: Nostr suffers from the same problem that ActivityPub suffers from, in that it's associated with its social media implementation and, "social media is a shit product."
Ironically, it was through social media that I even became aware of an effort to take podcasting to the next level. I was under the impression - like millions of other internet users - that everyone had abandoned it for audio/video streaming through walled gardens like Spotify and YouTube.
