#Bitcoin is for the #childfree

If you have been in Bitcoin long enough (and I mean the culture, not the currency), you have likely come across the mountain of pro-natalist, trad fam, "generational wealth" narrative.
Not only is this extremely reductive, I strongly believe that that narrative does not follow Bitcoin from first principles.
From a nation state perspective, natalism is a force for control. Multiple times have statistics showed that parents have worse morals and will compromise on their values for the sake of their children. Multiple times in history has the "for the good of the children" been used to manipulate populations into following state propaganda and directives.
It seems obvious for me, and any child free person, that if your goal is, if only in part, to bring down the entrenched financial system, having the children back door built into your lifestyle by default, seems like a mistake.

If you have not yet read the article by Antonio Melonio titled "The Childfree are Ungovernable", I strongly recommend it.
If you are Orange piled already, his description of the problems should resonate even deeper with you.

In his article, Antonio writes, "an underappreciated reason governments and ruling classes are clamping down on reproduction laws and abortion rights while turning up the please-have-children-to-save-our-collapsing-system propaganda to max volume: control." And as Bitcoiners we know that this is exactly the same reason that governments try to enforce privacy rules and financial checks.

The same way that the entire infinite growth of debt requires an infinite printing of devaluing currency to sustain it, the endless corporate machine that that debt fuels demands perpetual cheap labour to continue said function.

The same way governments want to create debt, of a money supply they control, so they can exert that control over the population, they do the same with children. It should be self evident that childfreedom allows you to take more extreme positions with less fear of consequences. There is a reason North Korea cracks down on their perceived traitors by imprisoning a few generations down with them.

Better than anyone, women should understand this, as the same tactic was used for centuries to control them.

Married with children with no access to their own money or property. Completely submitted to the authority of men.

Personally, it seems obvious that Bitcoin aligns very much with the childfree values of freedom, independence and total control over your own time. I would go so far as to argue better than with the "trad fam" set of values.

One example is how Bitcoiners always love talking about "brain drain from fiat world" and "jurisdiction shopping". But are you going to argue that moving an entire family across borders is as easy as just moving yourself? Or yourself and your partner, with the clothes on your back and a 12 words in your brain?

Talking about "generational wealth" is not very freedom-fighty either, is it? Very much makes it sound like you are a fan of a feudal system, you are just not a fan of not being the feudal lord.

Childfree people, by choice, need to protect their time as best as they can. We won't have kids to bail us out when we get older. Protecting the fruits of our labour is essential. While breeders can try and rely on their natalist pyramid scheme, we have no such luck.
We also benefit more from the "FU money" that Bitcoin is. Without the leverage of kids, there is very little credible threat to our stack, so we take less abuse from employers and from governments.

Even talking numbers, a child costs about £700-1000 a month to raise in the #UK, until the age of 18. That is 18 years of DCAs missed. You have probably seen Bitcoiners argue that housing is a bad investment since BTC appreciates faster, but there is no monetary value for children (there used to be, when they could be directly exploited for labour for the family), so there is even less sense in having that opportunity cost.

Furthermore, using your stack to extend your own life actively far suspasses the need for some to live on via their offspring. You can work less during your youth, since your sats protect you, literally rescuing time from the jaws of the labour market. And more free time equals a longer life.

And even sidestepping a bit, another argument you may hear is that we must beat the system by breeding new Bitcoiners. But that arguments falls on its face mathematically. If you really wanted to make a difference with Bitcoin and future generations, you wouldn't just create new people. You would would just foster as many younglings as possible. Fostering fiat brains and turning them orange is a much more mathematically significant endeavour than simply adding new blood to the pool.

Any sat spend on educating the current youth out of their state sponsored ideologies and into their own reasoning is going to be far more valuable that what you would spend on mouths to feed.

To make matters more dire, J.D. Vance, a candidate for VP of the United States of America, has made it extremely clear that he intends to wage war on the childfree and the childless. He is on record saying that parents should have more votes in elections, that childless people have no stake in the country, and that they should be taxed more.
If elected, they will 100% use the banking system to enforce their views. There is nothing stopping them from seizing assets and freezing payments to simple things, like contraception and abortion.

But they can't freeze or seize your Bitcoin.

In sum, obviously if you have a child, the best way to protect them is to have Bitcoin. But the premise doesn't come from the conclusion. Bitcoin is for everyone, and I'd argue that childfreedom falls out of its first principles better than parenthood does.

Not only is Bitcoin for everyone, Bitcoin's benefits compound for the childfree.
