It took a Labour party led by Corbyn to actually care about those issues and create a campaign ad around them. Starmer wouldn't dare to be so outspoken for fear of offending his new Tory chums.
So when he shows up on the steps of No 10, we won't get anything like the sort of social and economic justice promised by Corbyn. Instead, it'll be a slightly more anodyne Toryism with none of the structural inequalities addressed. Better than the Tories, but better's not good enough.
