#Prague is mostly hilly. That comes with an extra bonus - abundant beautiful sunset views.
This one is from park Parukarka, looking at the summit of Vítkov Hill in Prague's Žižkov district, the statue of Jan Žižka on horseback. It's the largest equestrian statue in Europe, and the third largest in the world. Unveiled in 1950, marking the 530th anniversary of Žižka's local victory. The statue features a tall horse standing on all fours, with Žižka seated in medieval armor, holding a whip in his hand. The foundation stone for the monument was laid by President T. G. Masaryk in 1931, but the actual work took 11 years to complete. Due to World War II, the plaster model was disassembled and hidden in various locations, only to be reassembled and unveiled in 1950.
