Zero and infinity are two sides of the same coin. Everything and nothing leave out every detail just the same.

While the finite is limited by its beginning and end.

Where the rubber meets the road IMO is on the boundary between the finite and the infinite.

The number TREE(3) about which I’ve written here:

is on that boundary — a number so vast we don’t have an upper bound for it, we only know it’s much larger than some insanely large lower bound.

Finite, but without upper bound, like an ever expanding universe.

Complex systems, like human brains, corral reefs and the formation of galaxies might also quality as finite, but unbounded in their capacity to elude comprehensive understanding and prediction too.
