I see. I personally recognize Zionism as a terrorist movement and yet I don't think we should or even can take back the creation of the current state of Israel. I believe we can work out a solution for both Israelis and Palestinians that doesn't include the destruction of the State of Israel. This solution wouldn't be popular with the major political actors in the region so I don't have much hope for it.

In this personal context I didn't see this bill as groundbreaking but I do take issue with the retcon it exhibits. At the time of the creation of Israel in 1948, the Holocaust wasn't widely known and it certainly wasn't the main factor of its creation which process started years before, influenced by the Zionist bombings of British properties.

In this context I don't think the current State of Israel should have been created this way, but now that it has, I believe it would do more harm than good to somehow destroy it. I'm not sure if it would make me an anti-Semite but the very fact that I'm now wondering makes this bill pretty bad.
