Cold cereal has a terrible calorie per dollar ratio, it's one of the more expensive foods you can eat. Rice gives 2,000-3,000 calories per dollar. Rice Krispies are under 350 calories per dollar. The entire concept of breakfast cereal is a massive scam to get people to eat agricultural waste that has no actual nutritional content on its own but is sold as being convenient.
