First you must understand that whenever possible you should default to using Free and Open Source Software #foss apps. There are a lot of reasons for that, but for now just know that said kind of apps are very respectful of your personal #data which you are on a mission to reclaim.
We will focus on the #android ecosystem, since for it's very nature is a lot easier to #degoogle and #hack for our purposes. #apple #iphone users should ponder if their convenience trumps their right to digital #freedom or not.
On my next note I'll be posting a list of the day-to-day #alternative #foss apps that I switched to after setting myself onto this journey 3 years ago. Remember: focus will be reclaiming your #data and #privacy NOT #convenience so trade-offs will be a-plenty.
