What makes it so much better for tipping? Monero is still cheap, less than a cent, LN also has fees, you don't have routing issues, no inbound liquidity issues, you just send XMR, the other just receives XMR, a tip doesn't need to be instant so it's more private and anyone can use it way better?
I wouldn't compare it to the experience of custodial LN as in "WOS to WOS" tipping because being custodial defeats the purpose... the only thing I see LN being better at is at a line at the coffee shop
