A man walked into a bar with a large slab of asphalt under his arm and said to the bartender, "A beer, please, and one for the road."

The bartender, taken aback by the unusual request, couldn't help but ask, "Excuse me, but why do you need a beer and one for the road?"

The man replied, "Well, I'm trying to get this slab of asphalt home, and I heard that a cold beer can make the trip much more enjoyable."

Intrigued, the bartender asked, "And how do you plan on getting this slab home? It looks pretty heavy."

The man responded, "Oh, I've got it all figured out. I'll just pour a beer on it, slide it onto my back, and slip down the road."

The bartender, trying to stifle a laugh, replied, "Well, good luck with that. And if you need any help, just give me a shout."

The man grinned and said, "Thanks, I will. And don't worry, I'll make sure to bring my own coaster."
