Asset limits are anti-family. These restrictions can force families to make unthinkable choices. One of those choices is what’s called a “Medicaid Divorce” where couples divorce in order for one spouse, or a dependent child, to be able to keep healthcare.

Universal programs don't have this problem. There's no reason to keep your income below some arbitrary level if you always get it.

We need universal healthcare and #basicincome as a floor that never goes away.
